A nice surprise

I am not a person that likes surprises but this was a really nice one. My sister, Ste and the nephews arrived last night for a surprise visit.
I nearly cried I was so happy to see them, Ewan my eldest nephew ran straight up to me and hung on like a limpet.
For those that don't know they moved to Hamburg in Germany early December and its the longest I have gone without seeing them. They are my favourite people in the world and its weird not seeing them all the time like I use to.

Anyway today is homework day for me so I have to go and do some bloody work.

In the mean time look at the new improved stick me, well its a work in progress as I have a new how to draw cartoons book.

Okay I know it looks like an evil robot but its my first go.

  1. It is a little evil robot-esque but the head is good. Claps for you. Claps not clap. :/

  3. Dead sexy.....
In a cartoonish Bloom County meets The Far Side at a Twilight Zone convention kind of way.

  5. Your stick art is really improving greatly. I can actually see a resemblance in this one to the artist! Probably just the hair -or maybe it is the sharp eyes or that little bitty curl on the lip. I dunno but it's got more detail or something to it that your others were slightly lacking. Maybe this one has personality and we all know by now, Claire is, if nothing else, personality plus. Of course, we all also know you DO have more than just your great personality. Hang a camera on that stick doll and you'll have a great likeness.

  6. That's so cool about your sister and nephews just popping in like that! I bet you were thrilled to pieces.

Looking pretty sexy there with the stick figure!

  7. My brother lives in Frankfurt (works in Heidelburg) so needless to say I have not seen my nephews in about 3 years. I feel like they will be full grown men before I see them again. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I too will get a lovely surprise.....

  10. Why that stick "you" is getting positively shapely. A few more curves and you will be able to echo Jessica Rabbit, "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."
