Olga and The Beatles

After the trauma that Olga suffered I figured she needed and deserved a wonderful treat, but what? After interviewing her, I found out that she loves The Beatles and guess who lives right near Liverpool..... Me!
I must confess to not actually being much of a Beatles fan, so this whirlwind photographic adventure was a education for me too.
The areas that we took photographs were Strawberry Field, Penny Lane and Mathew Street.
The majority of photographs where taken in and around Mathew street, which is a veritable treasure trove of all things 'Beatles'.
If you want to see the photographs individually Click here: Olga does Liverpool.

Farewell post for Olga tomorrow!
She is finally leaving me.
(Hooray)

  4. Love the Beatles tour. And while I know how hard it is to say goodbye to Olga, remember how nice it will feel when your houseguest is gone and your place is your own again. :)

  5. Lots of good memories there, particularly of Mathew Street. I was on the stage at the Cavern back in 1992 on the night that Denmark won the European championships. A group of us convinced the DJ that we were Danish students so he dragged us up so we could wave to the crowd and celebrate our victory. Attracted quite a lot of girls that evening so we had to keep the fake Danish accents going all night long. Best memory was of one of my mates telling a girl his name was Flemming but she could call him Flem/Phlegm.

  6. My lost youth ....... what happened to my lost youth? - I was damn careless with the kids - still, there you go .........

Olga has been spoilt rotten - send her to Canada or somewhere - that'll perk her up again - shock treatment ......................
