I have been swamped this week with college, illness and the mum. The Mum is doing much much better and should hopefully be out of hospital on Monday. It was her birthday on the 17th and yet again she was stuck in bloody hospital. I recently scanned a photo of the folks wedding day to share with some of my family. The mum is the little woman holding the bouquet, not the laughing hyena that is my auntie (mad). My dad is the tall bloke holding her hand.
How could they have been so happy? I wasn't born yet.

ReplyDeleteAh Claire... I know how could they be so happy with out their beloved Claire... smiling at them in her miss messy dressing gown? Family is fun isn't it...
ReplyDeleteFunny, I was looking at my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary photos - 1963. I was but a mere child...
ReplyDeleteYour mum and dad look very happy!
~~~Blessings~~~
Your mum's very 'ickle!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe family picture reminds me of an old ad for an Agatha Christie movie. Like Family Plot or something. Ha! BTW, my mother's birthday was on the 17th also. Sad to say, she has passed away, but I am VERY happy to hear your mum is on the mend. Please tell her I am sending her healing thoughts.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a little trip down memory lane to get us feeling all smushy ... :-)
ReplyDeleteYour father is very tall!
ReplyDeleteA happy belated birthday to the Mum. They were all smiling because they knew that one day they would be blessed with you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's it. :)
Oh my gosh, they look like just kids! How old were your parents when they got married? And your Mom does look incredibly happy ... little did she know what (who) lay in store in for her!
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE!!! Another picture without Claire in it, camera shy again, lol. The picture reminds me of the old photos my Grandma used to show me from family gatherings in Scotland. And Ahhhh!!! The sandstone houses in the background! Do you think it would be expensive to have some shipped this way for my dream house??!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy picture!
ReplyDeleteA fine picture from way back when.
