To Do List .............

Recovering from the flu has its downfalls, sure you can see out of both eyes, regain the feelings back in your face (migraine related), stop sneezing snot all over the place (especially computer monitor). What are the downfalls then? With that clear vision you can see the humongous pile of stuff that you have to do and with the face in working order, you can howl at the moon (the neighbours don't like it) and see that snot on the monitor. As the mind clears from its flu ridden fog like haze, you realise its nearly bloody Christmas and you have done fuck all! My sleep pattern is even more fucked up than it was before the dreaded lurgy and the house next door is getting extended, so the builders are making lots of noise!

My muse of late is Yoga for Cynics.  Not sure if blokes can be muses? Any how, anyone that writes something that inspires me to do or think something, is a muse in my book. His latest post on procrastination is a subject that I was discussing in college with my tutor this Monday just gone. Its a subject I will be coming back, hahahahaha! Honest.
After college tonight I am writing the real 'To Do List' so look out for a list of epic proportions!

  1. It's good to hear you're on the mend. Put on that to-do list to get some of those wet wipes to clean the computer off with. That snot, you know, is easier to get off if you get to it before a week passes. :)

Gosh, I think I just grossed MYSELF out.

  4. When your back is broke and your eyes are blurred.
And your shin-bones knock and your tongue is furred,
And your tonsils squeak and your hair gets dry,
And you're doggone sure that you âre going to die,
But you're skeered you won't and afraid you will,
    Just drag to bed and have your chill;
And pray the Lord to see you through
For you've got the Flu, girl,
    You've got the Flu.

    Hope your convalescence continues.

  11. Relax Max is such a wit, isn't he?

Glad to hear that you are feeling better but sorry to hear that along with feeling better you're feeling overwhelmed. Welcome back to the holiday season that was temporarily interrupted by your flu-like visitor!

Now what's that word you like so much? Oh yeah - MEH!

  12. I think half of the bloggers I know have been suffering with the flu lately! Glad to hear you're getting better. Best of luck with the "to do" list. Since I'm off for another 4 days, I'm really hoping to discipline myself enough to make a dent in mine, as well.

  14. You are funny... I had that horrible bug thing and went to work, died every night, grumped my way through last week and have done nuthing much either. To add to it, I have spent all my christmas money on tissues and that kleenex advert on the radio is seriously annoying me!
BTW I have only just discovered yoga for cynics this week....I will go and check out that post!

  15. The worst thing to have is the norovirus. Not only does it make you sneeze, but it gives ones bottom a cold too. So when you sneeze or cough you have to take great care. Especially when lecturing to a roomful of business partners. Otherwise you end up with a potentially career threatening situation, and a slot on the local TV news.

  16. I recently watched a movie, where the protagonist makes his last to do list after he learns that he has very little time to live as he has cancer. I never gave much attention to "to-do" lists before that.

Anyway your to do list looks like mine for now :)

  17. At the top of my to-do list would be 'write to-do list'.

  18. Hey there!

You're just finishing your diploma? Well done you! I'm going to re-do my intermediate in Feb (I had a bit of a break and didn't want to jump into the diploma!) I'm thinking of doing mine with Compass... (it's hard to choose!)

What a coincidence that we both blog, are from Liverpool, and are interested in counselling :)

Sorry you've had flu! Feel better soon!
