Bum Bag or Fanny Pack you decide!
As part of my light hearted post season(needed after doing my counselling homework!), I thought i would create a new fun thing!
As a Blog ambassador for the UK i thought i would help solve some English/American Issues.
Especially when it comes to some problems of words being misused!
Bum Bag or Fanny Pack: Which one makes sense to you? Vote Now! I know both sound funny but which do you recognise as an accurate description of the image.

Hhmm...I'll have to go with "bum bag" - if I really have to choose between the two.
ReplyDeleteI lived in London for twelve years before moving to Sweden, and fanny has somewhat different connotations for me.
Well I know it as a fanny pack...but that doesn't necessarily mean it to be so. To me Fanny pack sounds more polite than "Bum" pack. But that is just me.

Bing typically British...(note the accent...LOL)..I'd have to go for BUM.......FANNY would make me think you were wearing it the wrong way round!

I've never heard them referred to anything but "fanny pack" so guess that is one reason I'd vote for that term. "Bum" pack - just doesn't sound right to me.
ReplyDeletehoney you are wrong on both counts i'm afraid. it is called a fashion faux paux. now if you have one in your closet, please go throw it away. now. before anyone sees it. and honey, put it in a plain brown wrapper first and don't let anyone know you are the one that threw it out, okay?? (whew, i have to keep teaching these young ones.) sigh....
