Mr Jingles

In a post not so long ago, i wrote about a green mile incident (see info about film The Green Mile). It is an excellent film, i highly recommend it.
Well in the film there is a wee mouse called Mr Jingles that becomes tame and does all sorts of little tricks (also gets brought back to life and lives forever).

Where am i going with this? Whilst reading in bed something caught my eye, at first i thought it was a humongous spider (crapped myself!), but on closer inspection i saw it was a Field Mouse. These a lovely little creatures and not horrible mice, so i thought i should try to catch it and return it to a field. I put out a piece of chocolate that just happened to lying around and went back to reading my book, the next time i looked it had gone! After trying this for a few nights and rapidly depleting my chocolate stash, the bloody mouse whipped it away before i could even blink.
But mice really shouldn't be eating chocolate, so i created my own 'Mr jingles trap' which consisted of a melon peel and some dried papaya, surely a field mouses dream feast!

Did he/she even go near it? heck no.

  10. haha! I wouldn't be bothered with a melon peel either, after being spoiled with chocolare all week. I am not sure I would be so snobby as to turn down a perfectly good shoebox house, though. Uppity mouse! :)
